About Antonio's
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you as my guest on the web store for Antonio's The creation of Antonio's has truly been a labor of love.
In 1989, I began what was to become a personal odyssey in search of one of the world's most satisfying pleasures, authentic Italian Cuisine. Lured by Italy's aura of romance and tradition, I sought out what I considered to be the elements essential to the creation of a restaurant dedicated to the "Authentico Spirito d'Italia." An insistence on authenticity was a primary factor influencing the selection of everything from glassware to the light fixtures.
In my quest for true Italian Cuisine, I sampled pastas, coffees, tomatoes and herbs and literally everything that we use in an effort to create a little bit of Italy in Central Florida. Our menu features selections representative of regions from Sicily to Lake Como. Our fish is cooked the same as on the coasts, steaks as in Tuscany, Risotto as in Milan. All of our bread is baked daily on the premises along with our own pastries and desserts.
One of my most significant discoveries came from Hotel San Pietro in Positano watching chefs cook on their wood burning ovens and grills under the open skies of the Mediterranean Sea. The flavors of the wood, combined with the use of all fresh herbs and 100% olive oil, are the secrets of the simple but excellent Italian cuisine.
I am delighted to serve you and I hope the love and dedication I have put into Antonio's will truly enhance your dining experience.
